Bringing the biggest and best young Latin artists together for a picturesque seaside bash, Baja Beach Fest is the world's largest Latin Trap and Reggaeton festival. Leveling up to unprecedented heights for its second annual showing, Baja Beach Fest has recruited Cardi B, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, and Ozuna to headline the two-day event. In addition to its unbeatable array of headliners, the festival will boast performances from Brytiago, Amenazzy, Alex Rose, De La Ghetto, Cazzu and many others. Occurring on August 16th and 17th in Rosarito Beach, MX, just a 30-minute drive from San Diego, Baja Beach Fest is a coronation for the new generation of Latin Trap and Reggaeton artists and the only festival of its kind –– an intimate and immersive beachfront experience in celebration of the Latin community, coastal vibes, and young Latin Trap and Reggaeton music.
Collectively earning tens of billions of streams in 2018 alone, the festival's headliners are arguably the artists most responsible for Latin music's international explosion. Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny topped charts and headlines in 2018, collaborating with Drake and appearing on two top 20 Billboard hits. Seamlessly navigating between trap and reggaeton, Ozuna was YouTube's most-viewed artist WORLDWIDE in 2018. Colombian artist J Balvin dropped a massive hit with "Mi Gente" (over 4 billion total streams) which scored a remix with Beyoncé and earned Balvin a prime performance slot at the 2019 Grammys. Cardi B embraced her Latin heritage in 2018, earning a Billboard number one hit when she collaborated with J Balvin and Bad Bunny for "I Like It."
Imagined into existence by two friends, Chris Den Uijl and Aaron Ampudia, Baja Beach Fest is dedicated to the local community who wanted to bring the world’s most streamed artists together for a weekend of live music. Aaron grew up in Baja California and his family has owned and operated the the celebrated local venue Papas and Beer, which plays host to the festival, for over 30 years. “Everything that is a part of this event is within walking distance, including lodging, food, and the numerous after parties.” says festival co-founder Chris Den Uijl. “The moment you get off the highway, and arrive into the city, you’ve entered Baja Beach Fest.”
